2018 — Overcame a preseason injury to register playing time in seven games as a reserve...totaled 21 carries for 64 yards...posted a season high seven rushes for another season high 22 yards against Chattanooga (16-10 win)...had a long run of 10 yards versus VMI (49-13 win)...contributed six rushes for 19 yards in season ending, 35-30 SoCon title clinching win over Mercer.

2017 — Member of Air Force Academy football program...did not see any action...transferred to Furman following the completion of the 2017-18 school year.

Prep School/High School: Attended Air Force Academy Prep School for 2016-17 school year and saw action at fullback...2016 graduate of Pinecrest (2A) High School...football coach was Chris Metzger..played both inside linebacker and fullback..was a two-time all-conference honoree who finished his prep career as his school’s all-time leading tackler...registered 115 tackles as a sophomore, 118 stops his junior year, and 130 tackles as a senior, helping Pinecrest to 11-2, 10-3, and 9-2 campaigns, respectively....four-year starter in baseball.

Personal:  Full name is Carson Anderson Maples...born February 25, 1998, in West End, North Carolina...son of Tim and Tracy Maples...father played professional baseball in the Baltimore Orioles organization...has three siblings: Dillon, Jackson, and Morgan...Dillon is a a pitcher in the Chicago Cubs organization, and Jackson played football at N.C. State..business administration major.
