2019: Made his collegiate debut in regular season finale vs. Point (64-7 win), rushing three times for 16 yards, highlighted by a nine-yard run...accorded redshirt and extra year of eligibility.

High School: 2019 graduate of Lovejoy (5A) High School...football coach was Todd Ford...played linebacker and fullback...posted 322 tackles, including 21 for-loss, five sacks, three interceptions, and three forced fumbles in his three-year varsity career...served as a team captain and earned first team all-district and second team all-state honors  his senior year after totaling 131 tackles and helping lead his team to a 9-3 record, bi-district championship, and second round playoff appearance...second team all-district pick as a junior.

Personal: Full name is Russell Coleman Christensen...born July 26, 2000, in Pensacola, Florida...son of Carey and Christy Christensen...has a brother, Corey, and a sister, Krysten...brother Corey was a member of Samford’s 2013 SoCon championship team (shared title with Furman and Chattanooga) and two Lonestar Conference championship squads at Texas A&M-Commerce in 2014-15...father Carey played quarterback at Troy, where he was a Division II national champion in 1984...grandfather, Raymond Christensen, played football at West Alabama...grandmother, Jennifer Everatt, played volleyball at South Florida...cousin, Brandan Silvers, was a member of Troy’s 2017 Sunbelt Conference champion team.
