Biography
2019 — Made the switch from tight end back to bandit in spring practice.
2018 — Saw limited action after moving from bandit to tight end, primarily on special teams...credited with one tackle against Western Carolina...made the switch back to defense following the season...named to the SoCon Academic Honor Roll.
2017 — Put together a solid first season of play, seeing duty in all 13 games...worked as the primary backup to Chris Washington at the bandit position...totaled 11 tackles, including two for-loss and a sack...recorded interceptions in back-to-back games, the first covering 33 yards for a touchdown in a 41-17 win over Chattanooga, and the second covering 42 yards to set up a score versus VMI (42-10 win)...pick-six against UTC was the first by a Paladin since 2014 (Gary Wilkins, 19 yards vs. Mercer)...tallied three tackles and a sack for a loss of five yards against Western Carolina (28-6 win)...made the switch to tight end in 2018 spring practice.
2016 — Member of scout team...awarded redshirt and extra year of eligibility.
High School: 2016 graduate of Buford (5A) High School...football coach was Jess Simpson...played outside linebacker, tight end, and defensive end...suffered a torn ACL in the summer of 2015 and did not play this past fall...accorded the Ryan Daniel Award to the Buford player who best represents the program...member of 2013 & ‘14 state championship teams.
