2011-12 Game Log

General:  Looking to return to action after missing virtually all of the last two seasons due to a pair of torn Achilles tendons...injuries both occurred in the preseason...a successful comeback will add needed depth inside...part of a two-member senior class that includes guard Ayanna Randolph.

2010-11: Was sidelined in the preseason after suffering a second ruptured Achilles tendon, the same injury that sidelined her for the entire 2009-10 campaign...appeared in two games, making her  season debut and scoring three points against Western Carolina in Greenville (65-49 win)...claimed a pair of rebounds in an 88-65 victory over Wofford.

2009-10:  Sustained torn Achilles tendon in the preseason and missed the entire season.

2008-09:  Registered playing time in 28 of Furman’s 30 games, starting in two contests...delivered game winning layup with four seconds remaining to beat Wofford in Greenville (70-69 win)...scored a season high 12 points, claimed six rebounds, and picked up two steals versus Appalachian State (77-64 loss) in Boone in first career start...claimed a season high seven rebounds versus Wofford in Spartanburg (69-60 win)...delivered eight points, six rebounds, and a pair of blocks at UNC Greensboro (63-60 OT win)...tossed in nine  points, pulled down six boards, and picked up a pair of steals in 78-68 triumph over Charleston Southern.

High School: 2008 graduate of Dorman High School, where she helped key her program to four consecutive Upper State championships and four straight runner-up finishes...helped extend Dorman’s home winning streak to six seasons..earned team MVP and all-state honors as a senior.

Personal: La’Shana Ta’Kia Beatty-Booker was born on June 17, 1990 in Spartanburg, South Carolina....daughter of Sheila Harris...cousin Jessica Booker attended Furman.
