Greenville, S.C. – Furman's Matt Broome and Chattanooga's Stephen Jaeger have been named Co-Southern Conference Men's Golfers-of-the-Week, it was announced on Thursday by the league office.
The pair finished tied for a share of 10th place this past weekend in the 42nd annual Furman Intercollegiate at the Furman University Golf Club.
Broome, a native of Barrington, R.I., carded rounds of 75, 72 and 68 to finish at one-under par and help Furman to a fifth place finish in the 22-team field. The junior totaled seven birdies during Sunday's final round, including four straight to start his back nine.
The Furman men's golf team is back in action March 27-29, at the Linger Longer Invitational hosted by Mercer and Kennesaw State at the Reynolds Plantation-Great Waters Golf Course in Georgia.
