JONESBOROUGH, TENN. -- Senior Keller Harper (-6) recorded a 71 on Saturday to move into a tie for eighth and lead the Furman men's golf team in the second day of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at the par 72, 7,147 Blackthorn Club at the Ridges in Jonesborough, Tenn.

A native of Atlanta, Ga., Harper tallied birdies on No. 4 and No. 7 to turn at one-under, then added a birdie on No. 10 to score his fourth-straight round under par.

Freshman Reynolds Lambert (+3) is tied for 35th after posting a 75 with three birdies on Saturday, and freshman Ross Funderburke (+1) also added a 75 with a birdie on No. 4 to tie for 45th.  Rookie Walker Crosby (+3) fired a 71 with three birdies, including consecutive birdies on No. 5 and No. 6, tying for 55th, and junior Jack Crosby (+4) scored a 76 with three birdies in round two to tie for 62nd.  

East Tennessee State's Jack Rhea (-14) surged into the lead and tied the tournament record after notching a 63 on Saturday.  He holds a six-stroke advantage heading into Sunday's final round after scoring  a two-day total of 67-63=130.

The 29th-ranked Bucs (-26) posted a tournament-best 269 on Saturday and hold a two-stroke lead over 23rd-ranked Tennessee (-24) with 18 holes to play.  No. 8 Louisville (-22) sits in third place, followed by No. 34 Ole Miss (-18) in fourth.  UNC Wilmington (-16) rounds out the top five, while the Paladins (-7) are in ninth place. 

The 54-hole tournament will conclude on Sunday beginning at 8:30 a.m.  Furman will tee off of No. 1 beginning at 8:30 a.m. and will play in a group with N.C.
