Kyndal Anderson netted goals to help Furman past VMI, 2-0, in Southern Conference women's soccer action Sunday afternoon on Seagraves Field at Stone Soccer Stadium.
With its third consecutive shutout, Furman improved to 8-4-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the league. VMI dropped to 1-11-1 overall and 0-4 in SoCon play.
"Our goal going into the weekend was two victories and two shutouts and we were able to do that," said Paladin head coach
Andrew Burr. "We'll celebrate the victory today and then turn our attention towards preparing for next weekend."
O'Hearn gave Furman the 1-0 lead at the 31:18 mark on her second goal of the season.
Isabella Gutierrez controlled a loose ball in the midfield and played it into O'Hearn's path. The Savannah, Ga., native lined a shot off the fingertips of VMI's goalkeeper and off the underside of the cross bar from 30 yards out to open the scoring.

Arianna Milicia served a long free kick from the right side that carried over the goalkeeper and was tapped home by Anderson for her team-leading seventh goal of the season.
Furman dominated the chances on the day by compiling a 15-5 advantage in total shots and 6-3 margin in shots on goal.
VMI's Noelle Heilpern kept the Keydets in the game by notching four saves before being sent off in the final minute. Senior
Kellsey Weaver stopped three shots to help the Paladins earn their sixth shutout of the season.
Furman continues its five-match homestand next weekend when it entertains ETSU on Friday night and Western Carolina on Sunday afternoon at Stone Stadium.
