Furman, ranked 80th in the latest NCAA Evaluation Tool (NET) Rankings and No. 72 in the Pomeroy Ratings (KenPom.com), return to their home floor with a 17-5 overall record and 7-2 SoCon mark following a 78-54 rout of The Citadel Saturday afternoon in Charleston, S.C. Junior Clay Mounce matched a season-high with 22 points and senior Jordan Lyons added 17 in the victory as Furman limited the Bulldogs to their lowest offensive output in nearly four years. The Paladins allowed The Citadel to shoot just 36.2% on the night and recorded 13 steals while forcing 21 Bulldogs turnovers.

Lyons enters Wednesday night averaging a team-best 16.6 points per game, including 18.6 per game in nine league contests. The Peachtree City, Ga., product, who needs just five three-point baskets to pass Eric Webb's school record of 273 triples, has led the Paladins to 88 victories in his four-year career, just two short of Matt Rafferty and Andrew Brown's program-best 90 wins.

Wednesday's matchup marks the 100th all-time meeting between Furman and VMI with the Paladins holding a 65-34 series lead. Furman cruised to an 89-73 win over the Keydets in the first meeting of the season on New Year's Day behind a 40-point outing from Lyons. The Paladins have won nine straight versus the Keydets, including the last four meetings at Timmons Arena.

Furman sports a 8-0 mark at Timmons Arena this season and 59-11 record since the beginning of the 2015-16 campaign.
