MORAGA, CALIF. -- Saint Mary's defeated Furman, 6-1, Wednesday in men's tennis action in Moraga, Calif.

The Gaels (7-4) won two of three doubles matches to take the first point.  Boris Reckow and James Watt topped senior Jake Munns and junior Ivan Mitric, 6-3, at flight one, and Karlo Divkovic and Matis Bot teamed up for a 6-4 victory over juniors Henrik Atlevi and Drew Singerman.  The flight two match was unfinished, with Felipe Rincon and Damon Kesaris leading senior Jake Bhangdia and sophomore James Roelofse, 5-4.

In singles action, the Paladins scored at flight three, where Bhangdia downed Rincon, 6-3, 6-2.

Saint Mary's captured the remaining five matches, with four of the matches reaching a third set.  Kesaris posted a 6-4, 6-0 advantage versus Munns at number one, and Watt outlasted Mitric, 6-7, 6-1, 6-4, at flight two.  In the flight four contest, Divkovic held off Atlevi, 7-5, 2-6, 3-6, and at flight five, Abhishek Bastola entered the lineup and won, 0-6, 7-5, 4-2, when Singerman retired.  Bot slipped past Roelofse, 7-5, 2-6, 6-3, at flight six.

Furman (10-5, 2-0 SoCon) will square off against USC Upstate on March 17 at 3 p.m. in Spartanburg.
