Box Score Birmingham, Ala. – Jacksonville senior Alyssa Bilodeau fanned 17 batters in a complete-game shutout as the Dolphins downed Furman, 3-0, in opening game of the day at the UAB Tournament at Mary Bowers Field Saturday morning.
Bilodeau allowed just three hits over seven innings to improve to 7-4 in the circle and improve the Dolphins to 14-9. Sophomore
Bailey Tanner (4-7) suffered the loss for the Paladins after surrendering three runs on eight hits in seven innings of work.
A leadoff walk and two singles loaded the bases for Jacksonville with one out in the top of the second. Carolyn O'Neal singled to put the Dolphins on the board and Madison Kennedy delivered a sacrifice fly to double the JU lead. In the top of the sixth, O'Neal lined a one-out single to center field to plate Ashley Darakjian and extend the lead to 3-0.
O'Neal went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs to pace the Jacksonville offense.

Emily Bartlett recorded the only base hits for the Paladins.
Furman matches up against the Colgate Raiders at 6:30 p.m. ET tonight before concluding tournament play on Sunday afternoon with a 12:30 p.m. first pitch versus UAB.
