WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Junior Anna Morgan (+2) sits in a tie for 25th to lead the Furman women's golf team after Saturday's second round of the Landfall Tradition at the par 72, 6,150 yard Country Club of Landfall's Pete Dye Course in Wilmington, N.C.

Morgan, a native of Spartanburg, S.C., started the round on No. 10 and birdied No. 15 and No. 16 to turn at 2-under then added another birdie on No. 2.  She finished the round with an even 72. 

Senior Kyra Cox (+3) is tied for 30th after recording a team-high six birdies, including three-straight from No. 2 through No. 4, and carding a 75 on Saturday.  Freshman Savannah Hylton (+6) shot a 77 with three birdies in four holes from No. 11 through No. 14 to tie for 52nd, and sophomore Sophia Burnett (+7) is tied for 58th after notching a 73 with three birdies, including back to back birdies on No. 13 and No. 14. 

Senior Sarah-Eve Rhéaume (+11) tallied a 76 with birdies on No. 6 and No. 10 to tie for 76th.  Sophomore Caroline Crumrine (+11), who is playing as an individual, is also tied for 76th.  She posted an 82 with a birdie on No. 2 in Saturday's second round.

Mikaela Schultz (-7) of Michigan leads the field after posting rounds of 70-67=137.

Fifteenth-ranked Michigan (-2) continues to lead the tournament by one stroke.  No. 6 South Carolina (-7) is second, while Michigan State (E) sits in third place.  No. 24 UCF (+2) is in fourth place, followed by 26th-ranked Virginia Tech (+4) in fifth.  The Paladins (+17), who rank 40th, are in 12th place, ahead of No. 18 Florida State (+18), 28th-ranked Purdue (+23), Maryland (+23), Penn State (+25), No. 39 North Carolina (+28), and host UNCW (+54).

The 54-hole tournament concludes on Sunday with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start.  Furman will tee off of No. 9 through No. 11 and will play in a group with Texas and Illinois.  Live tournament scoring will be available via http://www.golfstat.com.
