Furman Softball Returns To Action This Weekend At Winthrop Tournament

Paladins Open Play Versus Bowling Green On Saturday

Greenville, S.C. – Furman softball, idle for the past week, returns to action on Saturday and Sunday at the Winthrop Kickoff Tournament at Terry Field in Rock Hill, S.C.
 
The Paladins (0-2) open tournament play on Saturday with a 2:30 p.m. contest versus the MAC's Bowling Green Falcons before taking on the Stony Brook Seawolves at 5 p.m. Live statistics will be available for both games through StatBroadcast at FurmanPaladins.com
 
Furman will open play on Sunday with a 10 a.m. contest against the Seawolves prior to facing tournament host Winthrop on Terry Field at noon. Live statistics will be available for both of Sunday's games. Stony Brook will be providing a live video feed for its contests versus Furman on Saturday and Sunday. Following four games in Rock Hill, S.C., this weekend, Furman is slated to return home to Pepsi Stadium on Wednesday afternoon for a single game against the South Carolina State Bulldogs. First pitch on Wednesday is set for 3 p.m. The Paladins will entertain South Dakota in a three-game series next weekend that begins with a 6 p.m. contest on Friday, February 26, and concludes with a 3 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday, February 27.
 
NOTE: Furman has added a Thursday, March 18, doubleheader versus Presbyterian to its schedule. The Paladins and Blue Hose's twinbill has been scheduled to start at 5 p.m. at Pepsi Stadium.
