Greenville, S.C. – Storm Murphy scored a game-high 24 points and Wofford used a 17-2 second half run to edge Furman, 75-67, in Southern Conference men's basketball on Saturday evening at Timmons Arena.
The loss snapped the Paladins' 19-game home winning streak at Timmons Arena and dropped Furman to 11-6 overall and 5-3 in the league. Wofford improved to 12-6 overall and 9-3 in the SoCon.

Clay Mounce answered a Wofford basket by draining a triple to put the Paladins ahead 54-47 with 8:25 to play. Just as the Paladins looked to have control, Murphy answered with a three-pointer and scored in transition off of a Furman turnover at the 7:24 mark to ignite a 17-2 run that decided the outcome.
A Murphy three put the Terriers in front before Mounce banked in a jumper to restore the Paladin lead at 56-55 with 5:46 to play. Murphy drained another three on the next possession for the first of nine straight Terrier points and Morgan Safford capped the spurt with a pair of free throws with 2:44 remaining to stake Wofford to a 64-56 advantage.
Bothwell answered with a driving layup on Furman's next possession, but Trey Hollowell responded with a triple for Wofford to up the lead to nine points and the Paladins got no closer than five points the rest of the way.
Furman shot 40.6% for the game and connected on just 12-of-40 three-point tries. The Paladins managed a 36-35 edge on the glass, but they were outscored 14-0 in second chance opportunities despite grabbing 13 offensive rebounds.
Mounce scored 20 points on 8-of-20 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds to notch his third double-double of the season, while
Alex Hunter totaled 15 points and six assists.
Noah Gurley recorded his first double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 boards for the Paladins.
The Terrier shot 49.1% from the field, including a 10-for-25 effort behind the arc. They outscored Furman 32-26 in the paint. Murphy finished 9-for-13 from the floor to score his 24 points, while Hollowell and Sam Godwin added 11 points apiece.
