BLACK FRIDAY BASKETBALL: Furman Hosts Tusculum Friday Afternoon At Timmons

Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's basketball team is back home in Timmons Arena when it hosts NCAA Division II Tusculum in a "Black Friday" clash sponsored by Bojangles. Tip-off on Friday, November 25, is set for 2 p.m. and the game will be streamed live on ESPN+.Â

Mike Bothwell, who totaled 11 points and a career-best eight assists in Sunday's triumph, earned all-tournament honors at the Charleston Classic and garnered Southern Conference Player of the Week accolades on Monday after averaging 20 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game in Furman's contests versus Penn State, Old Dominion, and South Carolina. The Cleveland Heights, Ohio, native has averaged a team-leading 20.2 points per game over five games this season.

Friday's matchup marks the second meeting on the hardwood between the Paladins and Tusculum Pioneers. Furman downed Tusculum, 95-62, in the previous meeting on November 25, 2020, at Timmons Arena. The Pioneers, ranked No. 5 in Monday's D2SIDA Southeast Region Poll, enter Friday at 2-0 on the year.

Following Friday's game versus the Pioneers, Furman travels to Appalachian State on Tuesday, November 29, before hosting South Carolina State at Timmons Arena on Saturday, December 3, to begin a stretch of five out of six games in Greenville.
