GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman's three seniors, Ivan Mitric, James Roelofse, and Drew Singerman each posted wins in both singles and doubles to lead the Paladins past The Citadel, 7-0, Saturday at the Mickel Tennis Center in Greenville, S.C., in Furman's regular season finale.

The Paladins swept the three doubles matches to score the first point.  Mitric and freshman Jamie Connel, who rank 60th nationally, outlasted S. Kamieniecki and Zvonko Bencedic, 6-4, at flight one, and Roelofse and sophomore Emil Westling beat Josiah Schainblatt and Hayden Shoemake, 6-2, at number two.  Singerman and Ben Cahill posted a 6-1 victory over Everett Barkley and Lucas Robins at flight three. 

Furman won all six singles matches in straight sets.  At flight one, Mitric defeated Shoemake, 6-3, 6-3, and Connel recorded a 6-2, 6-0 advantage over Bencedic at flight two.  In the number three contest, freshman Elijah Portizky downed Robins, 6-2, 6-2, and at number four, Roelofse cruised past Schainblatt, 6-0, 6-1.  Westling handed Kamieniecki a 6-1, 7-6 loss at flight five, and Singerman beat Andrew Darby, 6-2, 6-1, at number six.

Furman (14-8, 6-1 SoCon) will compete at the Southern Conference Championship April 21-14 in Chattanooga, Tenn.
