Wednesday's game marks the 218
th meeting between Furman and The Citadel, the Paladins' most frequent opponent. Furman holds a 130-87 series lead, has won eight straight versus the Bulldogs, and 12 of the last 13 meetings. Last season, the Paladins captured a 102-83 victory in Greenville before capping the regular season with a 94-59 verdict in Charleston, S.C.

The Paladins continued to possess a potent offensive attach that ranks 22nd nationally in points per game (81.7), fifth in assists per game (19.5), eighth in effective field goal percentage, and 19
th in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.48). Despite a rough outing last Saturday, Furman has posted a +3.1 rebounding margin. When Furman has struggled, defense has often been the culprit as opponents have shot 46.6% against the Paladins, including 37.6% from three-point range.

The Citadel enters Wednesday's game at 6-8 overall and 1-1 in the SoCon following a loss to Samford this past weekend. The Bulldogs, who welcomed the return of Ed Conroy as head coach this past offseason, opened SoCon play with a victory over Chattanooga at McAlister Fieldhouse.
