GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman runners tallied five personal bests, including a program record in the 5,000m by junior Carson Williams, at the Husky Classic at the Dempsey Indoor Center in Seattle, Wash., on Friday, and at the 9th annual Darius Dixon Memorial, was held Friday and Saturday at the Brant Tolsma Indoor Track at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex in Lynchburg, Va., the Paladins recorded nine top-25 finishes.

Williams led the Paladins at the Husky Classic, finishing fourth in the 5,000m with a program record of 13:42.39, breaking his own previous record of 13:51.92 by almost nine seconds.  Junior Dylan Schubert finished sixth in the event with a personal-best time of 13:45.30, and senior David Ahlmeyer posted a PR of 13:56.73 for 17th place.  Senior Adam Beucler was 24th with a personal-best time of 14:00.12.

On the women's side, junior Abigail Robertson was 17th in the 3,000m with a time of 9:15.63, and freshman Jenna Mulhern finished 16th in the 5,000m with a personal-best time of 16:11.14.  Sophomore Sierra Bower turned in a PR of 16:22.47 for 25th in the event.

At Liberty, senior Jonah Dill was 11th in the 60m hurdles (8.58) and 13th in the 300m (36.38), sophomore Nick Goldstein finished 16th in the 5,000m (14:58.75), and senior Evin McEntee recorded a mark of 12.25 (40-02.25) for 20th in the triple jump.  Senior Adrian Gonzalez finished 23rd in the 60m with a time of 7.54.

For the women, freshman Clair Garrett turned in a time of 3:02.81 for 12th place in the 1,000m, and senior Nicole Matysik placed 17th in the 3,000m at 9:54.71.  Senior Caroline Nguyen finished 18th with a time of 44.68 in the 300m, and freshman Carly Wilkes was 21st in the mile at 4:59.78. 

Furman will compete at the Southern Conference Championships Feb. 25-26 in Lexington, Va.
