Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's basketball team will celebrate seniors

Jalen Slawson when the Paladins host ETSU Sunday evening in a Southern Conference matchup that will air live on ESPNU.
Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. and tickets can be purchased online at
FurmanPaladins.com. Fans can listen to the radio broadcast on The Fan Upstate at 97.7 FM, 1330 AM, and via the Audacy app with Dan Scott and Tom Van Hoy on the call.
The Paladins (21-7, 12-3 SoCon) look to stay in the SoCon race as they enter the weekend one game behind Samford and in a second-place tie with UNC Greensboro. Furman saw its eight-game winning streak and six-game road winning streak snapped in a 69-65 loss at The Citadel on Wednesday. Slawson paced the Paladins with 22 points.
Sunday's game marks the 67
th all-time meeting between Furman and ETSU with the Buccaneers holding a 34-32 series edge. Furman claimed a 70-56 win over ETSU in Johnson City, Tenn., on January 7, and can grab its first sweep of the Bucs since 1986-87 with a victory at Timmons Arena, where the Paladins sport an 18-10 record in the series. Marcus Foster led Furman in the first meeting of the season with 21 points and 11 boards.
Bothwell and Slawson, both fifth-year seniors, enter senior night with 109 career wins. Their former teammate
Alex Hunter holds the school record with 111 wins.
Rett Lister ranks among Furman's top 10 winningest players with 84 career victories in his four seasons in purple and white. With a victory over ETSU, the 2023 senior class can help Furman join Gonzaga, Houston, and Saint Mary's as the only teams to register at least 22 wins in six of the last seven seasons.
