Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's tennis team is back on the road Sunday afternoon when it travels to Atlanta, Ga. for a 2 p.m. non-conference match with the Georgia State Panthers at the Georgia State Tennis Complex.

The Paladins (2-3) began the home portion of their schedule last Saturday sweeping a doubleheader with Belmont Abbey, ranked No. 25 in the ITA NCAA Division II Men's Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll, by scores of 7-0 and 5-0. Furman captured the doubles point in both matches and followed by winning all singles matches in straight sets. The wins gave the Paladins their third consecutive victories over Belmont Abbey.
Georgia State is currently 0-2 overall after starting its season with a pair of road losses at Stetson and South Florida. The Panthers play at Georgia Tech on Friday evening before hosting the Paladins on Sunday. Georgia State is under the direction of first-year head coach James Wilson.
Sunday's meeting marks the seventh all-time between Furman and the Panthers. Georgia State holds a 4-2 advantage in the all-time series.
The Paladins begin a four-match homestand next Saturday, February 11, hosting Jacksonville State at 1 p.m.
