Greenville, S.C. – The Furman women's lacrosse team opens Big South Conference play on Wednesday evening when it entertains the Wofford Terriers at 6 p.m. from Paladin Stadium.

Wednesday will be "LaCrocs" Night at Paladin Stadium. The first 30 Furman students to arrive wearing Crocs will receive a Crocs charm and keychain.
The Paladins (2-7, 0-0 Big South) concluded the non-conference portion of their schedule on March 19 with a 23-7 loss at 11
th-ranked Florida. Furman, who forced the Gators into 12 turnovers for the contest, finished with nine ground balls and nine draws.
Hannah Dintino, who had a team high three draws along with
Sophie Shaw, paced the Paladins offensively with three points on two goals and an assist, while
Paige Harman tied for the team-lead with two goals.
Anna Roser contributed two points on a goal and assist. Defensively,
Katelyn Sousa and
Abby Shearer both caused a turnover. In goal,
Lily Rathbun and
Sailor Henderson combined for six saves and three ground balls.
Wofford, who is also starting Big South play on Wednesday, currently sits at 3-5 for the season after defeating Kennesaw State, 22-14, last Saturday. The Terriers, picked fourth in the Big South Preseason Poll, are under the direction of second-year head coach Jessie Aguglia.
Furman and Wofford are meeting for the seventh time in program history with the Paladins having won each of the previous six matchups. Furman defeated the Terriers, 23-13, last season in Spartanburg.
The Paladins travel to Boiling Springs, N.C., on Saturday to face Gardner-Webb at 1 p.m.
