GREENVILLE, S.C. – Furman attack
Avery Adeli has been named the Big South Conference Women's Lacrosse Freshman of the Week for games played March 30-April 5, it was announced this afternoon by the league office.
The Moorestown, N.J., native collects her first career weekly honor and becomes the fourth Paladin to be recognized by the conference this season, joining teammates
Shae Insinga,
Allie Kandel, and
Lily Toole. Adeli totaled six points for the week on four goals and two assists while adding three ground balls to help Furman split a pair of Big South contests against Wofford and Longwood.
She began the week with one goal and one ground ball at home versus Wofford before following with career highs of five points and three goals to go with two assists as the Paladins rallied in the fourth quarter for a 13-11 victory at Longwood. In the win over Longwood, Adeli also picked up a career best two ground balls.
Adeli enters the week seventh on the team with 16 points on nine assists and seven goals.
