Greenville, S.C. – Persistent inclement weather forced the cancelation of Furman's Gray Griffin Memorial Match versus Gardner-Webb Tuesday evening on Seagraves Field at Stone Soccer Stadium.
 
Lightning moved into the area just minutes before the start of the contest and the game was official called off just before 8 p.m. after heavy rains soaked the playing surface.
 
Furman (3-2-2) is scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, October 1, when it travels to face USC Upstate in Spartanburg, S.C.
