th time on Saturday in the Ingles Southern Conference Game of the Week at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C.
Tip-off for Saturday's matchup, sponsored by Ingles, is set for 5 p.m. and will be the second half of a doubleheader that also features the Furman women's team hosting UNC Greensboro at 2 p.m. Tickets for Saturday's doubleheader are available for purchase at

Saturday's first of two regular season meetings between Furman and Chattanooga marks the 100
th time the schools have clashed on the hardwood with the Mocs holding a 58-41 series lead. Furman has won four of the last five meetings and 12 of the last 16, including an 82-65 decision at Timmons Arena on February 18, 2024, in the most recent encounter.
On Wednesday night, Furman improved to 15-3 overall and 3-2 in the SoCon with a 73-70 win over ETSU at the Well. Senior
PJay Smith Jr. led the way with 21 points while guards
Nick Anderson and
Eddrin Bronson added 14 and 11 points, respectively. The victory marked the ninth time this season Furman rallied from a second half deficit to claim a win and upped its record to 9-0 in games decided by fewer than 17 points this season.
Smith, who ranks among the SoCon's leaders in most offensive categories, enters the weekend averaging 16.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. The Paladin point guard has surpassed 20 points in seven of his first 16 games this season.
Chattanooga claimed its second straight victory with an 83-81 overtime win over Wofford on Wednesday night at McKenzie Arena in Chattanooga, Tenn., to move to 11-7 overall and 3-2 in SoCon play. Bash Wieland, a graduate transfer from Bellarmine, leads the Mocs averaging 13.8 points per game. The 6-foot-6 Weiland is joined in double figures by guards Honor Huff and Trey Bonham.
