Josefsson Ties For 13th To Lead Paladins To Fifth-Place Finish At Furman Intercollegiate Presented By Ezelle/Hines Properties

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman sophomore Ludvig Josefsson (+3) tied for 13th to lead the Paladins (+11) to a fifth-place finish Sunday in the final round of the 55th Annual Furman Intercollegiate Presented by Ezelle/Hines Properties at the par 71, 7,131-yard Furman University Golf Course in Greenville, S.C. 

Stetson (-3) won the tournament by six strokes over Campbell, while Western Kentucky (+6) and Virginia Tech (+6) tied for third, just ahead of the Paladins.  Furman beat out SoCon foes Mercer (+17 - T7th) and Wofford (+28 - 11th) in its final event of the 2025 fall season.

A native of Hestra, Sweden, Josefsson teed off on No. 4 and birdied No. 6 and No. 10 to finish the day with a 74.  He concluded the tournament eight strokes behind individual champion Matthis Lefevre (-6) of Stetson, who won the event by two strokes with a three-round total of 65-72-70=207. 

Senior Harris Barth (+4) carded a 73 with birdies on No. 2 and No. 6 Sunday to tie for 20th, while senior Zach Frazer (+5) finished in a tie for 27th after also shooting a 73 with birdies on No. 3 and No. 11 in the final round.  Senior Clark Akers (+6) recorded a 77 with birdies on No. 9 and No. 11, tying for 34th, and junior Fisher Kennedy (+9) tallied a 73 with a birdie on No. 2 to tie for 46th.

Other Paladins who competed as individuals included freshman Cameron Reed (+6) and sophomore Walter Anderson (+6), who tied for 30th.  Anderson shot an even 71 with a team-high five birdies, including four birdies in five holes from No. 8 through No. 12, while Reed posted a 73 with birdies on No. 5 and No. 9.  Freshman Benton Manly (+21) recorded an 81 to tie for 83rd, and sophomore David Oliver IV (+35) finished 87th after scoring an 85 with a birdie on No. 2.

Furman will open the 2026 spring season at the Gators Invitational in Gainesville, Fla., Feb. 14-15.
