Greenville, S.C. – Furman midfielder 
Diego Hernandez is one of 10 NCAA Division I men's soccer players listed on the 
Top Drawer Soccer Player of the Year Leaderboard, which was released earlier this week.
 
Hernandez, who was named to the Hermann Trophy Watch List on October 10 and ranked No. 25 n Top Drawer's midseason top 100 players ranking, leads the Paladins with seven goals, including three match-winning scores, and leads the Southern Conference with eight assists in 16 matches during the 2025 campaign. Th Mesquite, Texas, native has guided the Paladins to a 11-1-4 overall record, 3-0-1 conference mark and No. 7 national ranking in the Top Drawer Soccer Top 25.
 
This past Saturday, Hernandez helped Furman to a 2-0 victory over No. 18 UNC Greensboro as the Paladins extended their winning streak to five matches and stretched their unbeaten run to eight games. The victory also catapulted Furman into the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 at No. 16.
 
Furman enters Saturday night's regular season finale at Wofford in a tie with Mercer for first place I the SoCon standings. Kickoff in Spartanburg, S.C., is slated for 7 p.m. and the match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
