White Out At The Well; Furman Hosts UNCG Saturday At Noon

Paladins Entertains First-Place UNCG For A 12 P.M. Tip-Off On ESPN+

Greenville, S.C. – Saturday will be a "White Out at The Well" as Furman plays host to Southern Conference-leading UNC Greensboro in men's basketball action at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
 
Tip-off for Saturday's game, sponsored by Sharonview Federal Credit Union, is set for 12 p.m. and tickets are available for purchase at FurmanPaladins.com. All Furman fans are encouraged to wear white as the Paladins go for their seventh 20-win season in the last nine years.
 
The Paladins improved to 19-7 overall and 7-6 in the SoCon with a 96-72 victory over Mercer on Wednesday night at the Well. The win upped the Paladins home record to 11-2 this season and marked their highest offensive output versus a Division I opponent this season.
 
Junior Tom House led the Paladins with a career-high 26 points and Nick Anderson added 18 as both players went 6-for-9 behind the arc. Sophomore Cooper Bowser added a career-best five blocks and four steals to go with his nine points, six rebounds, and five assists.
 
The Spartans routed VMI, 80-54, on Wednesday night in Greensboro, N.C., to up their record to 17-9 overall and 10-3 in the SoCon. Guard Kenyon Giles, who tallied a game-high 26 points in the first meeting between the Paladins and Spartans, leads UNCG averaging 15.5 points per game.
 
UNCG holds a 26-21 lead in the all-time series between the schools. They have won 12 of the last 17 meetings and notched their third straight versus Furman with an 84-67 decision in Greensboro on January 4. The Spartans have won three straight versus Furman in Greenville.
