JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. --  Sophomore Audrey Ryu (+3) tallied a final-round 75 to tie for 32nd to lead the Furman women's golf team Tuesday to conclude the Briar's Creek Invitational, which was hosted by College of Charleston at the par 72, 6,152 yard Golf Club at Briar's Creek in Johns Island, S.C.

Ryu, who hails from Dublin, Ohio, birdied No. 7 and No. 11 in Tuesday's round.  Freshman Eva Ringwald (+9)  scored a 78 with birdies on No. 7 and No. 13 to tie for 54th, while senior Alise Knudson (+14) posted a 76 with a team-high three birdies, including consecutive birdies on No. 7 and No. 8, tying for 80th. 

Sophomore Kelsi Mauzy (+22) finished 95th after carding an 83 in the final round, and freshman Jenna Madden (+25) recorded an 87 with a birdie on No. 15 to finish 98th. 

Florida State's Mirabel Ting (-11), who ranks third nationally, won individual medalist honors by five strokes with scores of 67-66=133.

Sixth-ranked Florida State (-9) won the tournament by 14 strokes over No. 37 Purdue (+5) and 39th-ranked SMU (+5), who tied for second.  No. 49 Campbell (+9) finished fourth.  The Paladins (+48) placed 16th in the field, which included six ranked teams.

Furman will compete at the Valspar Augusta Invitational on Saturday and Sunday in Augusta, Ga.
