GREENVILLE, S.C. – Furman will begin its quest for the league title Monday at the 2025 Southern Conference Women's Golf Championship at the par-72, 6,098 yard Solina Golf Club in West Columbia, S.C.
The Paladins, who captured their 20th Southern Conference Championship and second-straight title in 2023, won nine straight SoCon titles from 1994-2002. Furman has won seven of the last nine league championships.
Last season the Paladins finished third at the championship and were led by senior Anna Morgan, who won the individual title and was voted the SoCon Player of the Year. Audrey Ryu, who has earned four SoCon Player of the Week awards this season, joined Morgan on the 2024 All-SoCon team and also claimed a spot last year's SoCon All-Freshman team.
Furman, which enters this year's tournament ranked 86th, has produced a league-best 19 individual medalists at past tournaments, and Paladin head coach Jeff Hull has been honored with three SoCon Coach of the Year awards.
The Paladin lineup for the 2025 championships will include Ryu, freshman Eva Ringwald, freshman Jenna Madden, senior Alise Knudson, and sophomore Kelsi Mauzy. Freshman Andrea Marin Raga will serve as an alternate.
The 54-hole championship will include three days of play, with one 18-hole round per day. On Sunday, Furman will play in a group with ETSU and Mercer and will tee off of No. 1 beginning at 9:20 a.m.
The winner of the SoCon Championship will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, while the individual champion will also earn automatic regional qualification. The NCAA field will be announced live on the Golf Channel on Wed., April 23, at 1 p.m.
