CINCINNATI, OHIO -- Furman's Harris Barth (-6) fired rounds of 67 and 69 to take the individual lead at the end of Monday's two rounds of the Bearcat Invitational at the par 71, 7,279 yard Coldstream Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio.

A senior from Atlanta, Ga., Barth played a flawless opening round, scoring a 4-under 67 with four birdies, including three birdies in four holes from No. 3 through No. 6.  In round two, he carded a 69 with a team-high four birdies to take a one-stroke lead over Pieter Rossouw (-5) of Augusta with 18 holes to play.  

Senior Clark Akers (+5) eagled the par-5 No. 4 and added four birdies to shoot even par in round one then tallied a 76 with birdies on No. 15 and No. 18 in round two.  He is tied for 56th entering Tuesday's final round.

Senior Zach Frazer (+10) and freshman Cameron Reed (+10) are tied for 84th after two rounds.  Frazier scored a 73 with four birdies in round one then added a 79 with birdies on No. 15 and No. 18 in the day's second round, while Reed shot a 75 with three birdies in the morning round and posted a 77 with birdies on No. 10 and No. 12 in round two.  

Redshirt sophomore Walter Anderson (+19) carded a 75 with a birdie on No. 10 in the Monday's opening round and scored an 86 with birdies on No. 4 and No. 13 in round two.  He sits in 96th place.  

Host Cincinnati (-12) blistered the field at 12-under on Monday to take a six-stroke lead over Louisville (-6).  Little Rock (-3) sits in third, followed by Nebraska (-1) in fourth.  Arkansas (+1), Maryland (+1), and UNCG (+1) are tied for fifth.  The Paladins (+19) are in 17th place in the loaded field, which includes 11 Power 4 teams. 

The 54-hole tournament will conclude with a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday.  Furman will tee off on holes No. 16 through No. 18 and will play in a group with Iowa State and individuals.  Admission is free and fans are welcome.  Results and live tournament scoring are available via https://scoreboard.clippd.com/tournaments/238488/scoring/team.
