Greenville, S.C. – Furman men's basketball returns to action on Wednesday, January 7, when the Paladins take on the Chattanooga Mocs on CBS Sports Network in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Furman (10-5, 1-1 SoCon) saw its six-game winning streak come to an end with an 80-77 overtime loss versus Western Carolina on Saturday afternoon.
Alex Wilkins, who leads the Paladins averaging 17.5 points and 5.0 assists per game, paced Furman with 24 points and six assists while
Charles Johnston added 14 points. The Catamounts shot 50% (10-20) from three-point range and managed a 48-35 rebounding edge to hand Furman its first Southern Conference loss of the season.

Wednesday's nationally televised clash marks the 103
rd meeting between Furman and Chattanooga with the Mocs holding a 60-42 series lead. Chattanooga swept last season's regular season home-and-home series before Furman scored an 80-77 overtime triumph in the Southern Conference Tournament semifinals in Asheville, N.C., last March. The loss was the only one suffered by the Mocs in their final 18 games of the 2024-25 season.Â

After dropping their first two SoCon games at UNC Greensboro and VMI, the Mocs enter Wednesday's matchup at 6-9 overall and 0-2 in league play. Jordan Frison leads Chattanooga averaging 14.1 points per game.
