Greenville, S.C. – The Furman softball team opens its 2026 home slate this week when it welcomes Bowling Green, Lipscomb, and Towson to Pepsi Stadium for the Purple & White Classic.
 
With inclement weather threatening later in the weekend, a revised tournament schedule was released on Tuesday night. Furman and Bowling Green will open the Purple & White with a 4 p.m. doubleheader on Thursday at Pepsi Stadium. Three games will take place on Friday beginning at 11 a.m. and the tournament will now conclude on Saturday with the final three games, beginning with Bowling Green facing Towson at 10 a.m.
 
Furman's third and final game of the weekend is set to be a 3 p.m. against the Lipscomb Bisons on Saturday. Admission is free to all eight games at Pepsi Stadium.
 
The Paladins (0-6) are in search of their first win after dropping a 9-1 decision at 18^th-ranked Clemson on Tuesday night. Sophomore Katie Peeler hammered a solo home run for the Paladins' lone run of the night while freshman Jamison Noonan tossed 2.1 innings of effective relief.
 
Bowling Green picked up victories over Queens and Hampton this past weekend to begin the season at 2-0. Lipscomb enters the weekend at 2-3 following a couple of victories at the Southern Miss Tournament in Hattiesburg, Miss. Towson returns to South Carolina after posting a 2-2 record at USC Upstate's Founders Classic last weekend.
 
Live statistics will be available for all eight games this weekend with links available on the schedule below. Saturday's tournament finale between Furman and Lipscomb is slated to be streamed live on ESPN+.
