Greenville, S.C. – Furman goes for a split of its regular season home-and-home series versus Wofford when the Paladins square off against the Terriers on Saturday evening at Richardson Indoor Stadium in Spartanburg, S.C.

The second meeting of the season between the Paladins and Terriers is slated for a 7 p.m. tip-off on ESPN+. Furman enters Saturday's road tilt at 17-11 overall and 8-7 in the Southern Conference following a 78-69 home loss to league-leading ETSU on Wednesday night. The Paladins held a 45-41 second half lead before the Buccaneers connected on seven consecutive shots, including five in a row behind the arc, to fashion a 20-4 run. Milton Matthews led the Bucs with 18 points on the strength of six three-pointers while Furman's Alex Wilkins paced all scorers with 21.

Wofford snapped a two-game skid on Wednesday with an 82-76 home win over VMI to up its record to 18-10 overall and 10-5 in the SoCon as the Terriers remaining in second place. In the previous meeting between Furman and Wofford on January 17 at Timmons Arena, the Terriers erased a 13-point deficit over the final 10 minutes to upend the Paladins, 74-70. Kahmare Holme and Nils Machowski scored 20 points apiece for Wofford in the come-from-behind win while Wilkins led Furman with 19 points.

Saturday's matchup marks the 160th meeting in the all-time series between the I-85 rivals with Furman holding a 93-66 lead. Wofford, however, has won three of the last four meetings, including a 92-85 decision in last year's SoCon Tournament championship game in Asheville, N.C. Furman's PJay Smith Jr. connected on a buzzer-beating three to lift the Paladins to a 78-75 win in their last visit to Richardson Indoor Stadium on March 1, 2025.
