Furman's Hasselbach Tied For Seventh After Two Rounds At UNF

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Furman freshman Olivia Hasselbach (+5) is tied for seventh after Monday's opening two rounds of the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate, which is being held at the par 72, 6,348 yard Jacksonville Golf & Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla.

A native of Tampa, Fla., Hasselbach led Furman with a 74 with birdies on No. 4 and No. 16 in round one then added a 75 with birdies on No. 7 and No. 17 in the day's second round.  She sits just three shots out of second place.  Leonie Wulfers (-4) of Florida Gulf Coast blistered the field at 4-under on Monday to take a six-shot lead entering Tuesday's final round. 

Sophomore Audrey Ryu (+9) is tied for 23rd after two rounds.  She carded a 77 with a team-high three birdies in the opening round then notched a 76 with a birdie on No. 12 in round two.  Sophomore Eva Ringwald (+10), who is playing as an individual, tallied an 80 with consecutive birdies on No. 15 and No. 16 to open the tournament then rebounded to lead the Paladins with a 74 and four birdies in the second round, tying for 26th.  

Sophomore Andrea Marin Raga (+16) and freshman Ava Hanneman (+16) are tied for 53rd.  Marin Raga shot an 82 with birdies on No. 7 and No. 15 in the first round then posted a 78 in round two, while Hanneman recorded an 81 in round one and a 79 in the second round.   She scored back to back birdies on No. 16 and No. 17 in the opening round and consecutive birdies on No. 1 and No. 2 in round two.  Sophomore Jenna Madden (+20) shot an 84 with consecutive birdies on No. 17 and No. 18 to open the tournament then added an 80 in round two. 

No. 29 Oklahoma State (+15) leads the tournament by just one stroke over Florida Gulf Coast (+16).  Tulsa (+31) sits in third, followed by Augusta (+35) in fourth and South Florida (+39) in fifth.  South Alabama (+42), host North Florida (+45), and Furman (+46) are in striking distance of the top five.

The 54-hole tournament will continue on Tuesday with teams teeing off of No. 1 and No. 10 beginning at 9:20 a.m.  The Paladins will tee off on No. 1 starting at 10: 15 a.m. and will play in a group with South Alabama, North Florida, and  individuals.  Admission is free and fans are welcome.  Live results will be available at https://scoreboard.clippd.com/tournaments/239167/scoring/team.
