ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Sophomore Eva Ringwald (-3) carded a final-round 71 to tie for third Tuesday to lead the Furman women's golf team to a fourth-place finish at the second annual Coach Mo Classic at the par 72, 6,505 yard St. John's Golf and Country Club.

The Paladins co-hosted the tournament with North Florida in honor of Furman alum Mo Geasualdi, who is a teaching professional at St. John's and is a tremendous teacher and junior golf leader.

Ringwald, a native of Aidlingen, Germany, birdied her first two holes then added consecutive birdies on No. 5 and No. 6 to turn at 3-under.  She parred eight out of nine holes on the back nine and concluded the tournament one stroke back of individual winners Sophia Fullbrook (-4) of Florida State, who ranks 23rd nationally, and UCF's Pimpisa Sisutham (-4), who ranks 36th.  

Junior Audrey Ryu (+2) tied for 11th after recording a 74 with birdies on No. 7 and No. 9 in the last round, and freshman Olivia Hasselbach (+12) tallied a 75 with three birdies Monday to tie for 45th.  Sophomore Jenna Madden (+14) shot a 78 with a birdie on No. 7, tying for 54th, and freshman Ava Hanneman (+24) posted an 82 with three birdies, including consecutive birdies on her final two holes, to tie for 84th.  

Freshman Andrea Marin Raga (+16), who played as an individual, recorded a 77 with a birdie on No. 2 to tie for 58th, and junior Kelsi Mauzy (+71), who also played as an individual, finished in 91st place.

Purdue (E) won the tournament by four shots over 16th-ranked Florida State (+4).  No. 12 UCF (+9) took third place, followed by the Paladins (+14) in fourth place.  Illinois (+17) rounded out the top five.  The 16-team field included five Power 4 teams. 

Furman will defend its league title at the Southern Conference Championship, which will be held April 20-22 at the Columbia Country Club in Blythewood, S.C.
