Greenville, S.C. – Furman will welcome the Samford Bulldogs to Pepsi Stadium for a three-game Southern Conference softball series this weekend. The Paladins and Bulldogs will play a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday with the series finale slated for 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Admission is free to all Furman softball games at Pepsi Stadium and all three of this weekend's contests will be streamed live on ESPN+. Links to the live streams and live statistics are available on the Furman softball schedule page at FurmanPaladins.com. Sunday's series finale will serve as Furman's annual "Strike Out Cancer" game. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats early for a special first pitch.
Saturday's series opener marks the 75
th meeting between the schools on the diamond with Furman holding a 39-35 series advantage. Samford has claimed two-of-three regular season meetings in each of the last six seasons, including posting 5-1 and 6-5 victories in Birmingham, Ala., last season before the Paladins claimed a 6-1 decision in the series finale.
Furman (11-32, 3-9 SoCon) comes into the weekend having won six of its last eight games. After taking two-of-three games from SoCon rival Mercer last weekend in Macon, Ga., the Paladins swept a Tuesday afternoon doubleheader versus Charleston Southern at Pepsi Stadium. Senior

Samford is 19-26 overall and tied for second place in the SoCon standings with Western Carolina at 8-4. The Bulldogs are coming off a stunning 3-2 home victory over No. 3 Alabama on Tuesday night.
