Greenville, S.C. – Furman softball is set to open a five-game homestand at Pepsi Stadium when it hosts the Charleston Southern Buccaneers in a 3 p.m. doubleheader on Tuesday.
The Paladins will be celebrating Taco Tuesday at the ballpark and free burritos will be available from Surcheros Fresh Mex on Wade Hampton Boulevard in Taylors, S.C., on a first come first served basis while they last at the marketing table at Pepsi Stadium. Admission is free to Tuesday's games, which will also be streamed live on ESPN+. Links for the live streams and live statistics are available online at FurmanPaladins.com.
Furman (9-32) enters Tuesday's doubleheader having won four of its last six games after taking the best-of-three Southern Conference series at Mercer this past weekend. Following a victory over SoCon-leading UNCG and a doubleheader split versus Presbyterian, the Paladins swept Saturday's twinbill in Macon, Ga. Mercer rallied to salvage a 5-4 decision in the final game of the series on Sunday afternoon.
Entering Tuesday, Furman holds a 51-15 lead in the all-time series versus Charleston Southern. The Paladins claimed 6-2 and 7-0 victories over the Buccaneers in the most recent meetings during the 2023 season at Pepsi Stadium.
