Furman Softball Celebrates Masters Weekend At The Park On Tuesday Versus Presbyterian

Doubleheader Games Are Scheduled For 4 & 6 P.M.; Admission Is Free

Greenville, S.C. – Furman softball will celebrate "Masters Weekend At The Park" when the Paladins play host to the Presbyterian Blue Hose in a 4 p.m. doubleheader at Pepsi Stadium on Tuesday.

Special guest Matt Davidson, the head coach of the Furman men's golf team, will throw out the first pitch and one lucky fan will have a chance to win big in the Masters Weekend Putting Challenge. Admission is free for both games.

The Paladins (6-30) are coming off a 3-0 victory over Southern Conference leader UNC Greensboro on Saturday afternoon in Greensboro, N.C. Freshman Kristyn Embler tossed a complete-game shutout to help Furman claim the final game of the weekend series against the Spartans and earn its first league win.

Presbyterian dropped two-of-three games versus Big South foe Longwood this past weekend to drop to 14-24 overall and 3-6 in league play. Furman holds a 23-13 lead in the all-time series versus Presbyterian. The teams split a midweek doubleheader in Clinton, S.C., last season with Furman capturing a 4-2 victory before PC secured an 8-1 decision in game two.

Tuesday's doubleheader will be streamed live on ESPN+ with live statistics available through StatBroadcast. Links for the live streams and live stats are available on the softball schedule page at FurmanPaladins.com.
