GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Furman women's lacrosse team plays host to the Mercer Bears in Big South Conference action on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. inside Paladin Stadium.

The Paladins (7-6, 3-1 Big South) scored the final four goals of the contest last Saturday and rallied back for a 13-11 victory over Longwood in Farmville, Va. Furman held a 31-28 advantage in shots, 19-18 in ground balls, 14-12 in draws, and finished with 12 caused turnovers. The Paladins' defense also forced the Lancers into 18 turnovers.
Lily Toole registered a game high six points for Furman on three goals and three assists.
Avery Adeli, who was named Big South Freshman of the Week on Tuesday, and
Reynolds Hester both came off the bench to compile five points. Adeli totaled career highs in points and goals with three while dishing out two assists. Hester contributed three assists and two goals. Defensively,
Charlotte Kent turned in career highs of four ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Zoe Milmoe matched Kent with three caused turnovers. Goalie
Sam Melville earned the win with seven saves.
Mercer currently sits atop the Big South standings undefeated at 2-0 while holding a 5-6 overall record. The Bears are under the direction of 11
th-year head coach Samantha Eustace.
The Paladins are facing Mercer for the 15
th time in program history with the all-time series tied at 7-7.
Furman plays its final home game of the regular season Saturday afternoon hosting High Point on Senior Day at 2 p.m.
