GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman track and field teams are set to compete on Friday and Saturday at the Duke Invitational at Morris Williams Stadium in Durham, N.C.
The Furman women will run in the 800m, 1,500m, 5,000m, and 3,000m Steeplechase. The Paladin men will compete in the 200m, 400m, 800m, 1,500m, 5,000m, 3,000m Steeplechase, and the 4x100m relay.
Paladin events will begin with the women's 1,500m Friday at 5:30 p.m. The Friday Norm Ogilvie Distance Carnival includes the women's and men's 1,500m, 5,000m, and 3,000m Steeplechase. The 200m, 400m, 800m, and 4x100m relay will be contested on Saturday, with the relay beginning at 12:10 p.m.

For the women, freshman Annie Miller ranks 16th in the East Region in the 3,000m Steeplechase at 10:25.15, while senior Camryn Wennersten is 42nd in the East in the 1,500m with a time of 4:20.65. Sophomore Claire Cook is 43rd in the region at 2:07.42 in the 800m.
On the men's side, graduate student Albert Velikonja ranks 21st in the East Region with a time of 13:51.71 in the 5,000m, while graduate student Bryn Woodall is 32nd at 3:43.34 in the 1,500m. Sophomore Rives Boltwood ranks 49th in the 10,000m at 29:50.21.
