GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Furman women's lacrosse team had 38 student-athletes named to the 2025-26 Big South Presidential Honor Roll, it was announced on Wednesday by the conference office.
The Big South had 77.49 percent of eligible student-athletes earn Presidential Honor Roll status for their work in the classroom in 2025-26. For the second consecutive year, the conference boasted an all-time high of 294 student-athletes, including Furman's
Shae Insinga and
Abby Shearer, earning Commissioner's Award distinction for having a 4.0 GPA. Gold Award scholars (3.75-3.99) totaled 703 and another 560 garnered Silver Award (3.50-3.74) honors in 2025-26 for a combined total of 1,557 student-athletes with at least a 3.50 GPA this past year – accounting for 67.11 percent of all Presidential Honor Roll members at or above that threshold.
To be named to the Presidential Honor Roll, student-athletes must maintain a grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or better for the recently-completed academic year.
