GREENVILLE, S.C. – Furman head women's lacrosse coach Rachel Shuck Whitten has announced the addition of transfers Lexi Larsen and Hannah Toole for the 2027 season.

A native of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Toole is the younger sister of junior attacker Lily Toole. Larsen, a Cincinnati, Ohio native, is also the younger sister of sophomore defense Cassie Larsen.

"We are excited to add Hannah and Lexi to the Furman family," said Whitten. "Both are coming from strong programs that are in dominate conferences which brings a high level of play and experience. With both athletes having sisters on the team, it brings another level to what they will able to accomplish here at Furman!"

Toole is an attacker that is transferring to Furman from Florida State University where she spent the 2026 season playing for head coach Sara Tisdale. She appeared in 12 games, making one start, and finished with six points on five assists and one goal while contributing five ground balls.

A graduate of Ponte Vedra High School, Toole was an Under Armour and USA Lacrosse All-American after leading the team in assists during each of her four seasons. She garnered two all-first coast honors and was named to the USA Lacrosse North Florida National Team in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. Over three seasons, Toole compiled 182 points on 109 assists and 73 goals highlighted by a 39-goal, 52-assist campaign in 2024 as Ponte Vedra reached the regional finals of the state playoffs. Ponte Vedra advanced to the state semifinals during her sophomore season and finished the year ranked fourth in the state of Florida and ninth nationally.

Toole played on the club circuit for the Florida Shine. She is the daughter of Dan and Brianne Toole.

Larsen is a midfielder who is joining the Paladins from the University of South Florida after spending two seasons playing for head coach Mindy McCord. She redshirted in 2025 before appearing in three games last season as the Bulls claimed the outright American Athletic Conference regular season championship after going 12-5 overall and 6-0 in the AAC. Larsen recorded nine draws in 2026 highlighted by a season best four against Charlotte.

She lettered four years at Indian Hill High School and was voted team captain twice. Larsen was a three-time US Lacrosse All-American while earning multiple all-state, all-region, and all-city recognition. In 2022, Larsen was named team MVP. She also played tennis at Indian Hill and won a state championship in 2023.

On the club circuit, Larsen played for Skywalkers. She is the daughter of Nick and Kelly Larsen.
