Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's basketball team returns home to Timmons Arena on Friday evening to host the College of Charleston Cougars in non-conference play at 7 p.m.

The game will feature Jersey Night, where students and fans can wear their favorite jersey to the game. Students will have the opportunity to win seven different NBA jerseys throughout the game. Stay in your seats at halftime as the Carolina Superstars baton twirlers will be performing.
The Paladins (5-2) closed out a two-game road trip on Tuesday by defeating High Point in double overtime, 74-70, with five players scoring in double figures.
Marcus Foster and
Jalen Slawson each recorded double-doubles to lead Furman. Foster registered his second double-double of the season on a career high 14 rebounds while matching his career best of 15 points. Slawson contributed his second double-double of the year with 12 points and tying his career high of 14 rebounds, and added four assists, three blocks and three steals.
Alex Hunter scored a team high 18 points while
Mike Bothwell and
Conley Garrison both had 11. Garrison also pulled down a season high nine rebounds.
The Paladins concluded the game shooting 38.0 percent from the field and held a 53-47 advantage in rebounds. Furman also led in points in the paint (40-28), second chance points (11-8) and fast break points (8-6).
Bothwell leads the Paladins offensively this season averaging 17.0 points per game. Hunter contributes 16.6 points while Slawson provides 14.9 points and a team leading 8.6 rebounds per contest. Garrison pours in 10.4 points per game.
College of Charleston is also 5-2 on the season after defeating Tulane 81-77 on Tuesday in Charleston. John Meeks is one of three players averaging in double figures for the Cougars with 14.6 points per game. Reyne Smith contributes 14.4 points and Brenden Tucker 11.3. Defensively, Dimitrius Underwood leads the team with 6.1 rebounds per game. College of Charleston is under the direction of first-year head coach Pat Kelsey.
Furman is facing the Cougars for the 85
th time in program history with the all-time series tied at 42-42. The teams met last season in Charleston with the Paladins coming away with an 81-57 victory.
Furman heads to Rock Hill, S.C. on Tuesday, December 7 to take on the Winthrop Eagles at 7 p.m. from the Winthrop Coliseum.
