GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The 28th-ranked Furman women's tennis team will entertain Clemson Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Mickel Tennis Center in Greenville, S.C. Live stats will be available via www.furmanpaladins.com.
Furman (11-6, 1-0 SoCon) completed a three match road swing through Florida last week, dropping a close 4-3 match to No. 18 UNF then defeating South Florida, 6-1, and North Florida, 5-2. In February, the Paladins downed undefeated Alabama, 4-3, then knocked off No. 16 Wake Forest, 5-2. Furman then toppled 18th-ranked South Carolina, 5-2, in Columbia and defeated Virginia Tech, 4-1, in Blacksburg. Paladin senior Katarina Kozarov is ranked 15th nationally in singles, and the Furman doubles team of Kozarov and junior Julia Adams is ranked 27th nationally.
Clemson enters the match at 6-10 overall and 0-7 in the ACC. The Tigers dropped matches to Wake Forest (6-1), North Carolina (7-0), and Duke (6-1) last week. The teams last met in 2017, when Clemson defeated Furman, 5-2, in Clemson to take a 37-2 series lead.
