Furman To Travel To Wake Forest Saturday

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman women's tennis team will travel to Winston-Salem, N.C., Saturday to take on Wake Forest at the Wake Forest Tennis Center.  First serve is set for 11 a.m.

Furman enters the match at 1-5 overall and 1-0 in the Southern Conference after defeating UNC Greensboro, 7-0, on Sunday.  The Paladins won all three doubles matches then captured each of the six doubles matches in straight sets for the victory.

Wake Forest is 3-3 after defeating Campbell, 7-0, and losing to Old Dominion, 5-2, both on Sunday.  The Demon Deacon doubles team of Anna Brylin and Brooke Killingsworth is ranked 10th nationally, while Casie Wooten ranks 29th nationally in singles.  

Saturday's match marks the 29th meeting between the two teams.  Wake Forest leads the series, 26-2, after defeating Furman, 5-2, in Winston-Salem last season.
