AUBURN, ALA. -- Furman's
Anna Morgan (+7) carded a second round 73 on Tuesday to climb 16 spots into a tie for 25th at the NCAA Auburn Regional, held at the par 72, 6,456-yard Auburn University Golf Club.
Morgan, who followed up Monday's opening round 78 with the one-over par round of 73, is among six individuals competing in the event, which also features a field of 12 teams battling for a berth in the 24-team NCAA Championship, which will be held May 17-22 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. Â The top five teams and one individual on non-qualifying teams will advance.

Audrey Ryu, struggled with a second round 81 following an opening round 76 and is now in a tie for 44th.
Competing in her fourth-straight regional and a three-time Southern Conference Player of the Year and two-time SoCon Female Athlete of the Year honoree, Morgan, a Spartanburg, S.C., native, recorded two of her three birdies on par fives — posting circles on the 513-yard third hole and 502-yard 13th.  She also birdied the 371-yard par four 15th, playing the front nine in even par 36 and back nine one-over 37.
