GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman women's tennis team is set to compete at the ITA Carolina Regional Championships at the Chewning Tennis Center in Chapel Hill, N.C. The tournament showcases the top women's tennis players from North Carolina and South Carolina. Play will begin on Thursday and continue through Monday.
Four members of the Paladin team will compete in singles at the regional, including freshman Elle Warren who will compete in the main draw. Junior Macy Hitchcock plus freshmen Sasha Dimitrov and Lillie Murphy will play in the qualifying draw.
The Furman doubles teams for the tournament will include Warren and Murphy plus Hitchcock and Dimitrov.
Qualifying singles will begin Thursday at 9 a.m. In the round of 64, Murphy will start at 9 a.m., Dimitrov at 10 a.m., then Hitchcock at 11:30 a.m. The round of 64 will be followed by the round of 32, and a consolation round of 32 will complete the day's matches.
Friday will feature one round of the singles main draw and one round of doubles. Matches are scheduled to commence at 9 a.m. each day of the regional.

This weekend, 13 different regional tournaments will take place across the United States, with over 25 teams competing in the Carolina Regional. The regional singles champions and finalists and regional doubles champions qualify for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championship, which will be hosted by UCF Nov. 18-23 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
