DALLAS, TEXAS -- Furman's Harris Barth (-9) fired a final-round 68 Tuesday to tie for sixth at the Trinity Forest Invitational at the par 72, 7,617 yard Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, Texas.

A senior from Atlanta, Ga., Barth notched a team-high eight birdies in the round, including consecutive birdies on No. 1 and No. 2 to start the round.  He birdied three out of four holes from No. 5 through No. 8 and an additional birdie on No. 10.  Barth added back-to-back birdies on No. 15 and No. 16 to finish the day at 4-under.  He concluded the tournament six strokes behind individual champion Hudson Weibel (-15) of Houston, who won in a playoff over Lukas Boandl (-15) of Rice.

Senior Clark Akers (-8) tied for tenth after carding a 73 with birdies on No. 16 and No. 17 on Tuesday, while senior Zach Frazer (+5) shot a 77 with birdies on No. 2 and No. 14, tying for 50th.  Sophomore Ludvig Josefsson (+7) moved up into a tie for 59th after recording a 73 with three birdies, including consecutive birdies on No. 1 and No. 2, and junior Fisher Kennedy (+11) concluded the tournament in 80th place with a 76 in the final round. 

Southern Cal (-32) and Rice (-32) tied for the team title, just one stroke ahead of South Alabama (-31).  Host SMU (-25) finished fourth followed by Houston (-19) in fifth.  Baylor (-10) placed sixth, and the Paladins (-7) took seventh place.  North Texas (-3) finished eighth, and SoCon foe ETSU (+1) rounded out the top nine. 

The Paladins will travel to Little Rock, Ark., Oct. 13-14, for the Everett Buick GMC Classic before returning home to entertain 14 teams at the Furman Intercollegiate beginning on Oct. 18.
