Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's soccer coaching staff has been tabbed as the United Soccer Coaches South Region Staff of the Year for the second straight season, it was announced on Thursday.

Head coach Doug Allison and his staff, which includes associate head coach Bret Boulware, associate head coach/recruiting coordinator Brandon Tucker, and volunteer assistant coach Charlie Arndt, led the 2025 Paladins to a Southern Conference regular season title, the program's second straight SoCon Tournament crown, and the first NCAA Division I College Cup appearance in school history. Allison's staff also includes assistant director of sports performance Altman Biggs, athletic trainer Jeremy Page, and administrative assistant Shannon Dobbin.

Furman has posted a 16-1-5 record this season and climbed to No. 1 in the Top Drawer Soccer Top 25, the highest ranking in school history. Currently riding a nation-best 14-match unbeaten run, the Paladins went undefeated through league play before topping nationally-ranked UNC Greensboro to secure back-to-back league tournament titles. After receiving a national seed and first-round bye in NCAA Tournament play for the first time in school history, Furman blanked Western Michigan, advanced past Hofstra on penalty kicks, and stunned No. 8 seed Portland on the road to reach the College Cup.

Allison, who is in his 31st and final season as head coach after announcing his retirement prior to the start of the 2025 campaign, ranks 10th among active Division I men's head coaches with 365 career victories and has guided the Paladins to 12 SoCon regular season title, 11 tournament crowns, and 11 NCAA Tournament bids. He is a 10-time SoCon Coach of the Year honoree and has been named United Soccer Coaches Region Coach of the Year four times.

No. 16 seed Furman continues its quest for a national championship on Friday night when it faces the Washington Huskies in the first of two national semifinals at First Horizon Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. The Paladins and Huskies are slated for a 6 p.m. kickoff on ESPNU with the second semifinal between Saint Louis and No. 15 seed N.C. State scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
