Furman seniors Sara Snyder and Ellie Schulson rank 58th nationally in doubles.  The Furman duo boasts a 9-1 record, including a 6-1 mark in spring dual matches at flight one.  Snyder and Schulson teamed up for a 6-0 victory over Alabama and a 6-3 win at Wake Forest.

Senior Jess Dawson and sophomore Macy Hitchcock are ranked 64th nationally with a 7-2 overall record and a 5-1 spring dual mark.  Dawson and Hitchcock also defeated Alabama, 6-3, and Wake Forest, 6-3, in early season matches.

Elon is also 5-2 and will face both Shaw and Salem on Saturday before entertaining the Paladins on Sunday.  Most recently, the Phoenix dropped a 4-0 decision at Charlotte.  Elon beat Belmont Abbey, both 7-0, in two matches earlier in the month.  The Paladins last squared off against the Phoenix in 2019, when Furman posted a 7-0 victory in Greenville to take a 16-3 lead in the series.

Furman concluded the 2024 season with a 6-1 Southern Conference record and advanced to the finals of the league championships for the seventh-consecutive time.  Snyder was selected to the All-SoCon first team for singles, while Schulson and Hitchcock were named to the first team for doubles.  Grace Thomas was honored with an All-SoCon second team citation at flight four singles, and Marissa Pennings was voted to the second team at flight six singles.  In doubles, Furman's Dawson, Snyder, and Thomas earned second-team honors.
