GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman women's team was honored as an ITA All-Academic Team, and all eight Paladins were named 2024-25 ITA Scholar-Athletes, as announced today by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letter winners must be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year (including fall 2024 and spring 2025) to be considered for the award. The Paladins posted a 3.93 team GPA for the completed year.Â
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must meet be a varsity letter winner and have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year.

During the 2025 season, Furman posted a 21-4 overall record and was a perfect 7-0 against SoCon opponents. After winning the regular season championship, the Paladins claimed the Southern Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament by capturing their 22nd SoCon tournament title. Furman, which finished the season ranked 46th nationally and ninth among mid-major programs, recorded wins over several ranked opponents this spring, including then 22nd-ranked Alabama, 34th-ranked Yale, and No. 42 Rice. Â
